ROYAL CANIN® Renal is a kidney support dog food. ROYAL CANIN® Renal is a dry kibble diet containing tailored nutrition to help support dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency.

Suitable for:

• Dogs with azotaemic Chronic Kidney Disease (IRIS stage 2 to stage 4).
• Dogs with Chronic Kidney Disease with proteinuria (IRIS stage 1 to 4).

Key benefits:

• Renal support: This formula contains a moderate level of very high-quality proteins to help support kidney function. Renal insufficiency prevents the kidneys from being able to effectively filter phosphorus from the bloodstream, so ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special is formulated with a low phosphorus content.
• Adapted Energy: Some dogs may have a reduced appetite when they experience impaired renal function. To help support your dog if their appetite has recently reduced, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special has an adapted energy content to reduce the volume of each meal.
• Aromatic choice: To help stimulate your dog's appetite in cases of food aversion or reduced appetite, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special has a specific aromatic profile and loaf-like texture to encourage your dog to eat.

It is important that this product is only fed to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7-10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount.

We know that enticing your dog to their food bowl can be challenging in cases of food aversion or reduced appetite. To cater to each dog's individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Renal is also available as wet food. Texture variety can help to stimulate your dog's appetite. If your dog enjoys a mixed diet of wet and dry food, be sure to reference the on-pack feeding guides to ensure a healthy daily food intake for your dog.

Composition: Rice, maize flour, animal fats, maize gluten, maize, hydrolysed poultry proteins, beet pulp, wheat gluten*, minerals, fish oil, vegetable fibres, soya oil, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, mono - and diglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids esterified with citric acid, marigold meal. Protein sources: maize gluten (8%), hydrolysed poultry proteins (4.7%), wheat gluten (2.5%). *L.I.P.: protein selected for its very high digestibility.
