Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NF Renal Function Wet Dog Food 12x400g Mousse

Complete dietetic pet food for adult and senior dogs for the support of renal function in case of chronic renal insufficiency, and for reduction of calcium oxalate, urate and cystine stone formation.

Key Features:

  • Helps with compliance in inappetent or anorexic patients and for long term use
  • Highly palatable for better acceptance
  • Low level of phosphorus to help slow the progression of CKD and minimise the risk of secondary hyperparathyroidism
  • Restricted but high quality proteins to help minimise loss of muscle, formation of uraemic toxins and their associated morbidity
  • Omega-3 fatty acids to help minimise glomerular hypertension and help support natural anti-inflammatory processes
  • Helps minimise the metabolic acidosis associated with renal failure
  • Non acidifying diet

Recommended for:

  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD)
  • Protein losing nephropathy
  • Conditions that require restricted dietary sodium
  • Reduction of calcium oxalate urinary stone formation
  • Hepatic disease associated with encephalopathy
  • Renal failure associated with leishmaniasis

Not recommended for conditions that require high protein or phosphorus intake.

Not suitable for pregnancy, lactation and growth.

It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before use or before extending period of use.

Composition: Meat and animal derivatives, Cereals, Oils and fats, Eggs and egg derivatives, Minerals, Various sugars, Derivatives of vegetable origin. Protein sources: pork (liver, heart), corn, egg powder, rice, turkey by products.

Feeding Guide:

Recommended daily amount (can/day):

Dog weight (kg)  - Wet cans per day
1-5kg -  1/3 to 3/4
5-10kg - 3/4 to 11/4
10-20kg - 11/4 to 2
20-30kg - 2 to 21/2
30-40kg - 21/2 to 3
40kg+* - 3+

*For dogs over 40kg, add 1/4 can for each 5kg of body weight.

It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use or before extending period of use.

Recommended length of time for use: initially up to 6 months.

Water should be available at all times.
