Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets DM Diabetes is a complete wet food that has been clinically proven to help reduce insulin requirements in some diabetic cats.
This is achieved as it is low in carbohydrates to help reduce blood glucose variation and has increased vitamin E to reduce oxidative stress.
Available in 2 flavours for your adult cat to choose from: Beef or Chicken.
Key Features:
- Regulates glucose formation. Provides protein as the main substrate to promote glucose production from hepatic gluconeogenesis via hepatic metabolism of amino acids
- Helps stimulate insulin secretion from pancreatic AY-cells. Contains high levels of arginine to help stimulate insulin release
- Suitable for diabetic cats prone to gain weight. Formulation adapted to allow weight loss with specific feeding guidelines
- Helps to ensure patient compliance through use of high quality ingredients and good palatability
Recommended for:
- Diabetes mellitus
- Enteritis
- Chronic diarrhoea
Not recommended for: Chronic kidney disease, Hepatic encephalopathy, Pregnancy, lactation and growth.

The recommended period of use is initially up to 6 months.
It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use.
1 pouch = 20g of Feline DM St/Ox dry. Mixed Feeding guidelines are validated only for mixing Feline DM St/Ox dry and wet.
*For cats over 8kg, add 1/2 pouch per day or 12g PPVD DM St/Ox dry formula per each additional kg of body weight.
Clean, fresh drinking water should always be available.
