Metacam 0.5mg/ml Oral Suspension for Cats

Metacam Oral Suspension is a Proscription Only Medication (POM-V) and is used to relieve inflammation and pain in cats.

Metacam can be used for both chronic (long-term) and acute (sudden and short-lived) musculoskeletal disorders, for instance, due to injury.

It is also used for the reduction of post-operative pain and inflammation after minor soft tissue surgery.

Do not use Metacam in kittens younger than 6 weeks old.

Do not use in pregnant or lactating cats, or cats with gastrointestinal, liver, kidney or cardiac disorders.

Metacam oral suspension for cats contains the active ingredient meloxicam (0.5 mg/ml).

If any adverse reactions occur, stop treatment and contact your vet for advice.

Treatment is usually given once daily by oral administration, either by mixing with food or giving directly into the mouth using the measuring syringe provided.
