Hill's Prescription Diet u/d Urinary Care Dry Dog Food

For dogs with urate, calcium oxalate and cystine bladder stones:

  • Reduced protein and calcium to reduce the urinary building blocks of urate, calcium oxalate and cystine crystals and bladder stones
  • Targets an alkaline pH to discourage the formation of urate, calcium oxalate and cystine crystals
  • High Vitamin E and Beta-carotene to neutralise free radicals to help combat urolithiasis

For dogs with chronic kidney disease (advanced stages):

  • High quality and reduced protein to reduce workload on the kidneys
  • Reduced phosphorus to slow the progression of kidney disease
  • Reduced sodium to help slow the progression of kidney disease and limit fluid build up in early heart disease
  • Increased Vitamin B to combat losses which may occur during kidney disease

Lifestage: Adult and Mature Adult Dogs.

Recommended for: The reduction of urate, oxalate and cystine uroliths formation. Chronic kidney disease - advanced (IRIS stage 4). Hepatic copper storage disease.

Not recommended for: Dogs with struvite urolithiasis. The first 1-2 weeks after surgery. Dogs with hypoalbuminaemia, hyperlipidemia. Dogs with pancreatitis, or a history of, or at risk of, pancreatitis. Puppies. Pregnant or lactating bitches.

 

By purchasing this Hills Prescription Diet food you confirm that your pet was examined by a vet who recommended the use of this food on the basis of his/her diagnosis.

You understand that whilst your pet is being fed Hills Prescription Diet food you will seek veterinary advice at least every 6 months regarding its usage and will seek immediate veterinary advice should your pets condition deteriorate in any way whilst using this product.

Ingredients: Cereals, derivatives of vegetable origin, oils and fats, eggs and egg derivatives, minerals, meat and animal derivatives, seeds. Protein source: Dried eggs. Urine alkalising substances: Potassium citrate (8.5g/kg), calcium carbonate (7.4g/kg).

Nutritional Information: Protein 10.2%, Fat content 18.8%, Crude fibre 2.4%, Crude ash 3.3%, Total sulphur amino acids 0.52%, Chlorides 0.52%, Calcium 0.42%, Phosphorus 0.16%, Sodium 0.22%, Potassium 0.57%, Magnesium 0.05%; per kg: Vitamin A 7,942IU, Vitamin D3 709IU, Vitamin E 555mg, Beta-carotene 1.5mg.
