FIPROtec Spot-on Flea and Tick Treatment Solution for Dogs - Beaphar

Beaphar FIPROtec® Spot-On for dogs is a veterinary medicine, available without prescription, containing fipronil to help control fleas and ticks. It kills fleas for up to five weeks and ticks up to four weeks. Suitable for dogs from 8 weeks of age.
Used routinely Beaphar FIPROtec® Spot-On for Dogs can help protect your dog from fleas. However, if your dog already has fleas the following steps will help you get on top of it.

  1. Treat all pets in the family
  2. Reapply treatments at the label-recommended interval
  3. Vacuum floors and soft furnishings and wash pet’s bedding at 60°C on a regular basis
  4. Treat the house with a long-lasting household flea spray, such as Beaphar FLEAtec Household Flea Spray
  5. Worm pets regularly as fleas can carry and transmit tapeworm, check out Beaphar WORMclear® range

Prevention is the best way to protect your dog from fleas and ticks and for continuous treatment of fleas and ticks apply the treatment every 4 weeks. The duration of protection against flea infestation is 5 weeks.

The active ingredient Fipronil effects the nervous system of fleas, causing hyperactivity. As a result, it is quite common to see 'more' fleas following treatment as it takes effect.
Beaphar FIPROtec Spot-On Solution for Dogs kills fleas and ticks on dogs. It continues to kill fleas for up to 5 weeks and ticks for up to 4 weeks.

Use medicines responsibly. Beaphar FIPROtec® Spot-On contains fipronil AVM-GSL.

Indications:

  • The treatment and prevention of flea (Ctenocephalides felis) infestations in dogs. The duration of protection against flea infestations is 5 weeks
  • Protection against new tick (Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) infestations in dogs from day 7 to day 28 after application of the product

Do not use on dogs less than 8 weeks old and/or weighing less than 2kg. Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Do not use on sick (e.g. systemic disease, fever) or convalescent animals. Do not use in rabbits, as adverse reactions and even death could occur. Do not use in cats, as this could lead to overdosing - Fiprotec for Cats is available.

Ingredients: 

Small dogs: Fipronil 67mg 

Medium dogs: Fipronil 134mg

Large dogs: Fipronil 268mg

Extra large dogs: Fipronil 402mg 

Directions for Use:

  • Always fully read the product leaflet and packaging before use. For external use only. Avoid contact with the animal's eyes.
  • It is important to make sure that the product is applied to an area where the animal cannot lick it off, and to make sure that animals do not lick each other following treatment.
  • Do not apply the product on wounds or damaged skin. Do not use in non-target animals, especially not in rabbits and guinea pigs.
  • For optimum control of flea problems in a multi-pet household, all dogs and cats in the household should be treated with a suitable insecticide.
  • Dogs should not be allowed to swim in watercourses for 2 days after application.
  • Fleas from pets often infest the animal's basket, bedding and regular resting areas such as carpets and soft furnishings which should be treated, in case of massive infestation and at the beginning of the control measures, with a suitable insecticide and vacuumed regularly.

Do not remove the pipette from the foil blister until you are ready to use the product.

Weigh your dog carefully before application.

  1. Use the easy-peel corners to remove the pipette from its blister pack.
  2. Holding the pipette upright, tap the neck section to ensure the contents fall back into the body of the pipette.
  3. Carefully snip off the top of the pipette using scissors.
  4. Part your dog's fur between the shoulder blades and place the tip of the pipette onto the skin.
  5. Apply half the pipette between the shoulder blades and apply half at the base of the neck, directly onto the skin.

Do not allow children to play with your pet until the fur is fully dry.

For continuous protection, reapply every four weeks.
