Bravecto Flea and Tick Treatment - Chewable Tablets for Dogs

Bravecto Flea and Tick Treatment - Chewable Tablets are Prescription Only Medications (POM-V) used to kill adult fleas.

They are indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations and the treatment and control of tick infestations. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). 

  • Bravecto chewable tablets can be used in dogs from 8 weeks of age and weighing from 2kg
  • A single tablet will provide protection for 12 weeks in dogs and puppies
  • Treatment with Bravecto may begin at any time of the year and can continue year round without interruption

Contraindications: 

  • Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients

Special Cautions:

  • Use with caution in dogs with pre-existing epilepsy
  • Should not be used on puppies less than 8 weeks old and /or dogs weighing less than 2 kg

Dosage and Administration:

  • Bravecto should be administered orally as a single dose every 12 weeks according to the dosage schedule below to provide a minimum dose of 11.4 mg/lb (25 mg/kg) body weight
  • Bravecto may be administered every 8 weeks in case of potential exposure to Amblyomma americanum ticks
  • Bravecto should be administered with food

Dosage Schedule:

  • Toy Dog weighing 2-4.5kg - One 112.5mg tablet
  • Small Dog weighing 4.5-10kg - One 250mg tablet
  • Medium Dog weighing 10-20kg - One 500mg tablet
  • Large Dogs weighing 20-40kg - One 1000mg tablet
  • Extra Large Dogs weighing 40-56kg - One 1400mg tablet
  • Dogs weighing over 56kg should be administered the appropriate combination of chews.

Treatment with Bravecto may begin at any time of the year and can continue year round without interruption.
