Beaphar FIPROtec® Spot-On for Cats is a veterinary medicine, available without prescription, containing fipronil to help control fleas and ticks. It kills fleas for up to five weeks and ticks at the time of treatment. 

Suitable for cats from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 1kg.

Beaphar FIPROtec Spot-On Solution is for the treatment and prevention of fleas and ticks. Prevention is the best way to protect your pet from fleas and ticks. For continuous treatment of fleas and ticks apply every 4 weeks.

Treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis). The duration of protection against flea infestation is 5 weeks. The active ingredient Fipronil effects the nervous system of fleas, causing hyperactivity. As a result, it is quite common to see 'more' fleas following treatment as it takes effect.

Treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus). Ticks (Ixodes ricinus) on the animal at time of treatment will be killed within 48 hours. Remember to treat your pet for worms as well as fleas and ticks to effectively end the flea and worm lifecycle.

Use medicines responsibly. Beaphar FIPROtec® Spot-On contains fipronil AVM-GSL. 

Do not use on kittens less than 8 weeks old and/or weighing less than 1kg. Do not use on sick (systemic diseases, fever...) or convalescent animals. Do not use in rabbits, as adverse reactions and even death could occur. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Ingredients: Fipronil 50mg, Butylhydroxyanisole (E-320), butylhydroxytoluene (E-321), benzyl alcohol (E-1519) and diethylene glycol monoethyl ether.

Instructions: 

Always fully read the product leaflet and packaging before use.
Do not remove the pipette from the foil blister until you are ready to use the product. Weigh your cat Carefully before application to ensure they weigh 1kg or more. 

1. Use the easy-peel corners to remove the pipette from its blister pack. 
2. Holding the pipette upright, tap the neck section to ensure the contents fall back into the body of the pipette.
3. Carefully snip off the top of the pipette using scissors.
4. Part your cat’s fur between the shoulder blades and place the tip of the pipette onto the skin.
5. Apply half the pipette between the shoulder blades and apply half at the base of the neck, directly onto the skin. 

Do not allow children to play with your pet until the fur is fully dry. 

For continuous protection, reapply every four weeks.

Used routinely Beaphar FIPROtec® Spot-On for Cats can help protect your cat from fleas. However, if your cat already has fleas the following steps will help you get on top of it. 

1. Treat all pets in the family
2. Reapply treatments at the label-recommended interval
3. Vacuum floors and soft furnishings and wash pet’s bedding at 60°C on a regular basis
4. Treat the house with a long-lasting household flea spray, such as Beaphar FLEAtec Household Flea Spray
