Apoquel from Zoetis is a prescription oral tablet indicated for fast-acting relief from itchy, inflamed skin in dogs. Apoquel targets pathways within the cells to prevent transmission of the itch signal to the brain, stopping the cycle of itch and inflammation caused by allergic dermatitis and atopic dermatitis. Use only as directed by your veterinarian to help improve your  dog’s comfort and quality of life.

Going straight to the source of the itch, Apoquel tablets will start to relieve itch symptoms within 4 hours and will control the itch within 24 hours returning your dog's quality of life to normal which in the long term is so important to you both.

Apoquel chewable tablets contain the same active ingredients as Apoquel oral tablets. Apoquel chewable tablets are the treat-like chew for fast-acting relief from itchy, inflamed skin for dogs aged 1 year plus.

If the formulation is not stated on the prescription, we are only able to dispense the film-coated formulation.

You should use this product as directed by your veterinary surgeon.

Contraindications: 

• Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients
• Do not use in dogs less than 12 months of age or less than 3 kg bodyweight
• Do not use in dogs with evidence of immune suppression

Administration:

• These tablets can be administered with or without food
• For oral use

Shelf life & Storage for Film-Coated Tablets:

• Any remaining half tablets should be discarded after 3 days
• Store below 25 °C
• Any remaining half tablet should be placed back in the opened blister and stored in the original cardboard carton, or in the HDPE bottle (for a maximum of 3 days)

Shelf life & Storage for Chewable Tablets:

• Store in the original package in order to protect from moisture
• Remaining tablet parts should be stored in the blister and given at the next administration
