Advocate 40 Spot-On for Small Cats (up to 4kg) and Ferrets

Advocate Spot-On for Small Cats (up to 4kg) and Ferrets
Advocate Spot-On for Small Cats and Ferrets is a Prescription Only Medication (POM-V) used for cats and ferrets suffering from, or at risk from, mixed parasitic infections.
In Cats:
- Treatment with Advocate kills fleas and prevents flea infestation for 4 weeks
- Advocate also treats ear mites, gastrointestinal roundworms, eye worms, hookworms, and prevents heartworm
- Advocate is usually given monthly and can help in the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD)
In Ferrets:
- Advocate treats fleas and prevents flea infestation for 3 weeks
- Used to prevent heartworm disease
Contraindications:
- Cats weighing less than 1kg and ferrets weighing less than 0.8kg should only be treated after special consideration by the veterinarian
- Do not use in kittens less than 9 weeks old
- Do not use on dogs or canaries

Use as an external spot-on for small cats weighing 4 kg or less and ferrets.
Advocate should not be used in kittens under 9 weeks of age.
Active Ingredients:
- Imidacloprid (40mg)
- Moxidectin (4mg)
Application:
- Part the fur on the animal's neck at the base of the skull until the skin is visible
- Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze the pipette firmly several times to empty its contents directly onto the skin
- Application at the base of the skull will minimise the opportunity for the animal to lick the veterinary medicinal product
- Apply only to undamaged skin
