Pets lost and found
As one of the largest veterinary practices in the South Hampshire area we are frequently informed when owners lose or find pets in the area. We hold a list of these at our main hospital site at Shedfield and at the branch surgeries. The situation can change from day to day please contact the hospital at Shedfield (01329 833112) to check any details given below. The chances of finding a lost pet are increased dramatically if they are micro-chipped. This can be done at all of our clinics during a routine consultation.
What to do if you lose your pet
Here are some simple steps you can take to either find your own lost dog/cat, or re-unite a found cat/dog with its owner.
- Inform us at Animed on 01329-833112. We will add your details to our records that will be distributed to our branch surgeries.
- Make posters/leaflets asking neighbours/local businesses to check their sheds and garages in case the animal has been locked in. Also, put up notices in local shops and pubs, and on lampposts in the area and include a detailed description of the animal and of its collar if it has one.
- Inform all other Veterinary Surgeries in your area as they all keep records of reported losses and findings
